Downtown Grille is a brand designed to embody a rustic and simple style alongside carefully crafted old world fare. First the client needed a logo, landing page and postcards to announce their venture. The landing page would eventually grow into their completed site that needed to display their vision for the modern yet unrefined space. Highlighting its coarse wood slat walls and chocolaty tones, I chose textures throughout the site to bring the feel of the restaurant to the viewers desktop. The goal was to create a straightforward site that would appeal to the neighborhood and overall community.

 

I art directed and designed the logo, brand
identity, wireframes, UI, illustrations, menus, merchandise and responsive sites. Overall, I tried to convey the concept of a stylish yet rugged brand in a understated design that their audience would feel captures the essence of the venue and its cuisine.
